Some of the Bowhunting.com crew recently returned from a Kansas turkey hunting trip. It’s become an annual trip for a handful of the guys each year. Kansas offers some of the best turkey hunting in the country, so it’s a great opportunity to level the playing field a bit and punch a few turkey tags.
One of the guys on this particular trip was Tyler Barron of Texas. Tyler’s killed a bunch of deer and hogs with his bow over the years but was a rookie when it came to turkeys. He made the trip up to Kansas in hopes of taking his first bird with his Mathews bow.
Here’s a look at how Tyler’s turkey hunt went down…
A big congrats to Tyler on his first turkey! He handled it like a pro with a 22 yard shot that was right on the money. As you saw in the video above, the bird only flopped 5 yards after the shot.
